“I’m managing so much better now I’ve got some help at home. It’s made all the difference.”
We know how important the comfort and familiarity of living in your own home is. We also know that sometimes, because of health or ageing, day to day living at home becomes difficult. That’s where we can help, with our Home Care Packages.
We operate throughout the NSW Eurobodalla region, including Batemans Bay, Moruya and Tuross.
Our Home Care Packages are delivered in line with the Australian Government’s Consumer Directed Care framework, and are available to residents of Banksia Village and the surrounding region. Our friendly, professional team will work with you to design a support package of practical, personal or clinical care services tailored specifically for your needs and delivered in the comfort of your own home.
Our home care services are also provided on a private fee for service basis.

KELLY KNIGHT, BANKSIA COMMUNITY CARE’S NEWEST RN
“I always wanted to be a nurse, right from when I was a little girl”, says Kelly. “My Gran was a nurse, and she was probably my inspiration to follow this career. She gave me loads of advice, but her best counsel was to always care for the person as you would want someone you love cared for.”
Joining Banksia’s home care service, Banksia Community Care, in March, Kelly brings with her a wealth of experience in high level clinical care and community nursing, and is well-known in the Eurobodalla region from her previous roles in the area including at Moruya and Batemans Bay hospitals.
We caught up with Kelly recently to get to know her better…..
Barbara is one of Banksia Village’s longest-term residents, having moved into her villa in 1999.
When Barbara’s health needs began to change, it became important for her to get some help so she could confidently and happily remain in her much-loved villa. Banksia’s Community Care team worked with Barbara and her doctor to plan a package of health and practical support tailored specifically to her needs.
Barbara is now able to enjoy twice-weekly assisted swims in Banksia’s hydrotherapy pool, which has dramatically improved her well-being and is helping with her mobility. Community Care staff also visit her villa every fortnight to clean, and Barbara is able to use Banksia’s transport service to get to regular health and medical appointments in Moruya.
“Once I took the initial step of asking for some help, things really started to improve. Aside from being so good for my legs, being able to get regular exercise has made me feel better in myself.”
– Barbara Hammond, Banksia Community Care client
