Unique New Graduate Program for Registered Nurses in Eurobodalla

Banksia Villages have partnered with Queen Street Medical Centre to offer an innovative and exciting New Graduate Program for Registered Nurses.

This highly sought after opportunity will allow you to develop your community nursing and specialist gerontological nursing competencies in an aged care and GP practice environment:

  • you will be fully supported by a team of experienced clinicians from both Banksia and Queen St Medical Centre.
  • you will have support and mentorship from Banksia’s Clinical Nurse Educator
  • you will spend 6 months working in a GP Practice environment at Queen St Medical Centre, Moruya
  • you will spend 6 months working in Banksia’s residential aged care facility and at Banksia Community Care, based in Broulee

The program will be supported by the Aged Care Transition to Practice Program (ACTPP) facilitated by University of Wollongong. This 6 month educational program includes participation in interactive workshops, on-site mentoring and ongoing support through your facilitator and dedicated mentor.   The ACTPP is fully funded and you will be allocated paid education shifts.
