Position Vacant – Community Care Employee

An opportunity has become available to join the highly committed Banksia Community Care team, with permanent guaranteed hours to suit your lifestyle. 

The successful applicant will be required to deliver high quality care to our clients in their own homes. Duties will include personal care, domestic duties, meal preparation, transportation and shopping.

Demonstrated understanding and a minimum of 12 months’ experience of the aged care sector is required. Ideally applicants will hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) or be currently undertaking studies toward this qualification. However, our main requirement is a passion for supporting the elderly, so Banksia will support suitable new entrants to the sector by providing work-based support for person willing to undertake the required qualification. You should also hold a current drivers licence, current First Aid certificate and will successfully pass a National Police Check.

There are a wide selection of shifts available. A roster will be negotiated with successful applicants to provide stability in earnings and to facilitate a work/life balance.  Penalty rates apply to after-hours and weekend work.
