Banksia Villages is holding a free community information day on Friday 14 September at its retirement village and residential aged care facility in Broulee.
The event provides a great opportunity to find out more about Banksia’s aged care services including residential aged care, respite, home care, and independent retirement living.
It’s also a valuable chance to get helpful information about navigating the aged care system, aged care funding and home care packages.
Senior Banksia staff will be on hand to talk to one-on-one, or visitors can pick up an information pack to take home. Members of Banksia Men’s Shed will be on deck with displays and sales of their wares, and a free morning tea will be available. Visitors can also make bookings for a tour of Banksia Village or Banksia Lodge for a later date.
Graham Wise, Banksia’s CEO, says the event is a great way for people to find out more about the aged care and home care systems, and about Banksia’s own services and support.
“Working your way through the national aged care system can be quite challenging, particularly if people need to make decisions quickly,” says Graham. “Being able to talk to someone who understands the system, and who can provide helpful and friendly information and advice, can be very reassuring.”
